#17 best movie

The movie Avatar is my favourit movie of 2009, and probably the only movie that i thought was AMAZING in 3D. I love the way they make it so it proves that any creature can adapt into any kind of living area, and how far our technoligy can go, it just takes your mind to all different sorts of places just dreamng about what other kind of things are out there in the world and what other Alien life forms like the Avatars are out there. It also shows how cruel humans can be to things that are foreign to them, its probably one of the only cartoon like movies that ive ever cried at and probably the only movie ive ever seen in the movie theatre that i walked out and thought to myself " wow that was the most amazing movie ive ever seen". It also created a whole nother level of halloween costumes for this year, all i saw on halloween was people in Avatar costumes.
This is a GREATT movie and i hope it is successful and my grandchildren will still love it when they're my age.

The Outsiders

#16 best movie

The outsiders is movie but also a book i read in grade school and was probably my favourit book ive ever read in school and the movie is great cause it put a picture to the story. It's about two different sides of a town one side was the rich side and they were called the "socs" and the other side was the poor side called the "greasers" and after one night where some of the druken socs find ponyboy and and his buddy they try to beat them up but the one greaser accidentaly kills one of the socs to save ponyboys life. So they go hidding out till everything cools down because they dont wanna get in trouble while they're hidding out there was a fire in the old barn they were living in and the one greaser almost dies because he broke his back from the ceiling caving in on him, then end of the movie end with a huge braul between the greasers and socs. Its a very good movie and everyone should watch this atleast one time in there lives.

Casper

#15 best movie

The movie casper is about a little ghost named casper who lives in the towns haunted house with his three crazy ghost uncles, and this human Father and daughter who move from town to town cause the dad is a well known "ghost buster" lol but when they move to the house where casper lives they end up getting really comfortable with the friendly ghost casper and they teach the three ghost uncles a lesson and they stop scarring people. This movie is deffinetly one of my favourit movies ever since i was a little girl it is very funny, scary, romantic and all sorts of other things all at the same time. This is also another movie that i tried watching with my little brother but he refuses to watch it because he is affraid of the 3 uncles that scare people LOL.

Titanic

#14 best movie

The Titanic is based on a true story about a so called "unsinkable" boat called the Titanic that actually ended up hitting a giant ice burg and siking and killing A LOT of people back in 1912 but the movie was made during the 90's and was a very popular and succesful movie. When i was little we had the movie on VHS and it was devided up into 2 different tapes and i only liked the first tape because it was all a love story and all the nice parts of the movie and i refused to watch the second tape cause it was when the boat hit the ice burg and when people started dying. The story is based arround 2 characters Rose and Jack who end up fa;;ing in love and when the boat sank jack and Rose were layig on a piece of wood and jock actually ended up dying from how cold the water was and rose was saved and her necklace was found years later at the bottom of the sea where the titanic is. Deffiently one of the best movies ever made!!!

Finding Nemo

#13 best movie

Finding Nemo is a cartoon but seems to be loved by all ages, it's a story about a fish named nemo who gets caught by some under sea divers and gets taken away from home, so his father marlin goes for the search of his sonon the way he meets many other sea creatures like dori the fish with short term memory loss and every so often forgets where she is, who she's with, why she's there, the sea turtle named Crush, the three non fish eating sharks and many more. Mean while Nemo is in a dental office with a bunch of other fish who try to help him escape atleast 2 or 3 times till they actually succeed at doing so, while marlin and dori return back to the reef ginving up on trying to find him then then find him and go back home and live a normal fish life. It's a great movie that people of all ages love to watch.

The Shining

#12 best movie

The Shining is a movie that was made back in the 1980's, and its probably one of the most well known horror films of all time.. The movie is about a family who goes and looks after an old hotel for the whole winter season, while they're there they start seeing scary and wierd things, and the dad himself starts loosing his mind and tries killing his family chasing them through the hotel, in the maze outside of the hotel, and also while this is all going on they're is also a huge snow storm in effect and no one can come help them nor can they even call the police or anything. There is a very famous line in this movie and its when the mother and the child are hiding in the room, and the dad is axing a whole through the door and says "HERREE'S JOHNNY!" so if you havent seen the movie, you've deffinetly heard that line before! Its a great movie, A CLASSIC watch it!!!!!!!!

Benjamin Button

#11 best movie

Benjamin Button is a great movie about a man named Benjamin Button who is born an old man and goes through his whole life and dies as a baby, so basicly he is the oposit of a normal human bieng, In the movie it shows all the difficultie's of being different then everyone else, his whole life he could never have friends his own age cause he always looked the opposit of his real age except for ofcourse in the middle of his life where he was right and not different for once in his life he is normal, he also falls inlove with a women that he met as a "young child" and she new he was a little different but she was the only person who excepted him as a person, they meet later on in life get married and spend all the time in the world together for as long as possible and at the end of the movie when hes a baby and doesnt know whats going on anymore she is still there for him and takes care of him for years until he dies its a very sad story but they're are also a lot of happy parts, not to mantion when Brad Pitt is in the years where he looks to be 20 how good looking he is ;)

The Sound of Music

#10 best movie

The Sound of Music has been one of my favourit movies for most of my life, it was introduced to me by my mother who's favourit movie is actually The Sound of Music. This movie is about a nun who decides to take a break from being a nun to go nanny for a bunch of little kids, when she arrives she see's how misbehaved the children are and how they do not listen to any one but they eventually warm up to her and one night during a thunder storm they all run into her room and she realizes that they finally like her and are comfortable with her, and she starts singing a song one of my favourit songs in the movie Rain Drops On Roses.

This movie has the perfect amount of Romance, Action, and Comedy combined into one movie, its a great movie.

Coraline

#9 best movie

This movie i actually only watched because of my little brother, he loves this movie and one night i decided to watch it with him while i was babysitting him and i fell in love with it and it is probably one of my favourit movies of all time its about a little girl who lives in this really old pink house, with some very odd neighbours and parents that dont really give her any attention, one night she found this door and decided to go inside it and when she reached the other side it was the same house but her parents weren`t there but her ''other parents'' were and her neighbours werent so odd anymore and everything was exactly how she wanted it to be, until she gets her other mother mad and she would in really big trouble and she found out it wasnt exactly as perfect as she thought, in the end she defeats the other mother and gets to go back home. This movie is great WATCH IT!

NIghtmare Before Christmas

#8 best movie

The nightmare before christmas has been one of my favourit movies since i was little, every night i would watch this movie before i went to bed no matter what time of year it was. I try to make my little brother watch this movie all the time but he will never seem to get into it, i think he`s scared of it LOL. but anyway this movie is about a town with a bunch of evil creatures that love halloween but there is one character, the main character who doesnt really like halloween and finds a whole to go to the northpole and he sees all the snow and santa, all the elves and all the toys sand presents and he falls inlove with it, but he runs into some trouble when the people in the town find out and dont like it. i absolutly adore this movie and would recomend it to all ages.

Armageddon

#7 best movie

The movie Armegeddon is the only movie that can make me cry for the last 45 minutes of the movie every single time i watch it, it is honestly one of the most amazing action/romance/comedy/whatever else it is movies i have ever seen, not to mention they have some of the greatest actors (Bruce Willis), and good looking actors (Ben Affleck).. Its about a group of people that are trained to go to outer space because there is a giant astroid heading toward earth that they need to drill to the middle of so they can place a bomb in it and destroy it before it reaches our planet, now the whole time Bruce Willis' daughter and Ben Affleck's girlfriend in the movie is in the NASA place waiting and watching to see what will happen because it is a very dangerous job. There are many things that go on in space many people die many people are injured and one person in perticular goes a little crazy. if you havent seen it, watch it, you'll love it.

Sixteen Candles

#6 best movie

Sixteen Candles is an amazing movie its about a teenage girl who's family forgets her 16th birthday because they are so busy with everything going on like the oldest daughters wedding all the grandparents arriving for the wedding and not to mention the foreign exchange student one of there grandparents took in for a while named Long Duck Dong. This movie represents every teenagers worst nightmare, i mean how horrible would it be if you WHOLE family forgot it was your birthday ESPECIALY you 16th birthday! personaly i would never be able to forgive m y family for that... LOL but by the end of the movie, her family apologizes for forgetting, she gets her dream guy the most popular boy in the school, and she makes a great friend. So i guess it all kinda ads up. but its a great movie i watched it the morning of my 16th birthday. I think its great that movies that were made when my parents were teenagers are still amazing to us teenagers!



Don`t Tell Mom the Babysitter`s Dead

#5 best movie

So this movie is awsome, me and my step mom could sit at home all day everyday just watching this movie over and over again. It`s about 5 teenagers who`s mother has left on vacation for the summer and arranged for a babysitter who happens to be very old and the whole plan is to make sure their mother doesnt find out that the babysitter is dead or else their mother would come home and they would not be able to pend the summer doing whatever they want, but after a while they start running out of money so the oldest sibling the 17 year old Sue Ellen Crandell has to scam her way in working in a high fasion L.A company so they can survive the summer get some money. By the end of the movie their mother arrives home to a HUGE party that the kids are throwing and once everyone leaves and she walks inside she is no longer angry but impressed by how clean the house is and all the new expensice furniture and new appliances the kids bought with there money. The movie ends with the mother asking where the body is then cutting to the funiral.

Goonies

#4 best movie

As you can probably tell i really like 80's movies, this movie is about a bunch of kids who's whole town is being destroeyed and turned into a golf coarse, they will be forced to move away and seperate from all of there friends if they do not come up with the money by a certain day. So the kids decide after finding One Eed Willies treasure map in Mikeys attack to go on an adventure to find the pirate One eyed Willie to get all of his gold and jewels so they will have the money to stay together. On  they're way to find it they run into many situations involving the fratelli family who are also trying to get the gold and jewels but at the end they all escape because the day waas saved by Sloth the deformed Fratelli family member who is normaly locked in a room and chained to the wall. They  find jewels in one of there pockets and see that they have enough money to save town and all their frindships.

This movies is an excellent movie, it shows how kids can do stuff just aswell as an adult and they too can save the day. 

Ferris Bueller's Day Off

#3 best movie

This movie is not only AMAZING but it is also one of my favourit movies because i was actually named after this movie, Ferris Bueller's girl friend in Ferris Bueller's Day Off is named Sloane Peterson and my middle name is Sloane this was my parents favourit movie growing up in the 80's and they kept the name in there head till i was born.

Ferris Bueller's day off is about a guy named Ferris Bueller who fakes sick to his parents so he doesn't have to go to school, he forces his best friend Cameron Frye to steal his dads car for the day, and get his girlfriend Sloane out of school by pretending he is her father. The whole day all they did was go to fancy restaurants, avoided there parents who almost see them on several occasions, and try not to mess up Cameron's fathers car which they fail at miserably. And at the end of the day when his parents get home to check on him in his bed, he is there and he never gets caught for faking sick.

This movie demonstrates any teenagers dream of going out all day while playing hookie and not getting cought at the end of it all.

The Breakfast Club

#2 best movie

The Breakfast was a hard decision between first and second of best movies of all time because how much fun there detention on a saturday morning is , sneaking arround the school, disobeying theyre principal, telling all their deep dark secrets, and becoming friends with people that they wouldnt even acknowledge on a normal day of school, they're are also asked to write an essay on who they think they are, to me this is probably my favourit part of the movie because of how it explains exactly who each of them are as a person and telling the principal its really none of his buisness who they think they are.

"Dear Mr. Vernon, we accept the fact that we had to sacrifice a whole Saturday in detention for whatever it was we did wrong...but we think you're crazy to make us write an essay telling you who we think we are. You see us as you want to see us... In the simplest terms and the most convenient definitions. But what we found out is that each one of us is a brain... ...and an athlete......and a basket case......a princess......and a criminal...Does that answer your question? Sincerely yours, the Breakfast Club." (from the movie The Breakfast Club).

They alson have great actors in this movie, Emilio Estevez, Molly Ringwald, Judd Nelson, Anthony Micheal Hall, Ally Sheedy and Paul Gleason.

Stand By Me

#1 best movie

It was a hard decision to pick which movie is my favourit movie of all time but this one i've probably watched at least a hundred times, its a coming of age film about four best friends Gordie, Chris, Teddy and Vern from a small town named Castle Rock, that go on an adventure to look for a dead body who is believed to be "The Missing Ray Browers"  who was killed by a train while blueberry picking. The adventure brings them to a junk yeard to fill there canteens and chased out of there by the junk yard owner "Milo Pressman" and his dog chopper. Then the adaventure brings to a train bridge where they must walk along hoping a train doesnt come, which one does and Vern and Gordie have to run and dodge the train, they also have to walk through a forest and they fall into a leech infested swamp and after that they found the boys dead body and they run into the older bullies of the town who tell them they're taking the body and not them, when Gordie pulls out a gun and they all run off, they decide its would be better to make an anonymous phone call instead.

I've loved this movie since i was little this movie definetly is my favourit movie of all time!
